Kate Schott has nearly 10 years of experience in strategic communications, marketing and the media, most recently as the owner of Kate Schott Communications LLC. Her mission is simple: to help her clients find their voice and successfully reach their target audience through the most effective channels of communication.

Kate has held senior positions at communications firms in Chicago and Washington, DC, where she managed large-scale public relations campaigns and marketing initiatives. At Carolyn Grisko & Associates in Chicago she played a key role in managing communications and gaining support for the O'Hare Modernization Program, a $6.6 billion plan to modernize O’Hare International Airport’s intersecting runways. She was responsible for developing media, public and stakeholder outreach strategies, producing materials and videos, and organizing public hearings and press events. Other work included rebranding campaigns for companies Jensen & Halstead and Ardmore Associates.

At Xenophon Strategies in Washington, DC, she led the firm’s second- and third-largest accounts, managing a team of associates and a significant share of Xenophon’s annual revenue. Clients included Airbus North America, the Air Transport Association and the Midwest ISO.

Kate is also a former reporter for The Columbus Dispatch in Ohio and the Daily Southtown and Chicago Daily Law Bulletin in Illinois. She is an award-winning writer who has been recognized by several industry associations for the production of annual reports, brochures, press kits and videos.

She holds a B.A. from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where she studied English/Journalism and Marketing.
